County Kildare is part of the East and Midland region
Net wealth is highest in the Eastern and Midland region of Ireland standing at €223,000, that includes counties Kildare, Laois, Longford, Louth, Offaly, Meath, Westmeath, Wicklow, and Dublin.
The median net wealth of Irish households is just over €193,000 euro, according to CSO figures..
The CSO today published its Household Finance and Consumption Survey , it found the median value of a main residence is €260,000.
In the the southern region net wealth is €181,000 encompassing Carlow, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Kilkenny, Limerick, Tipperary, Waterford and Wexford.
Compared with, €173,300 in the Northern and Western region which includes Cavan, Donegal, Galway, Leitrim, Mayo, Monaghan, Roscommon and Sligo
Almost seven in ten households have some form of debt including mortgages, loans, credit cards and overdrafts.
More than nine out of ten households own some form of financial asset like savings, investments and voluntary pensions.
