It's understood that the process of securing new housing options for these individuals is actively in motion.

The contract between the Department of Children and Integration and Manor Court in Celbridge, which currently accommodates individuals seeking international protection, is set to conclude in the coming days.

This transition will see the Dublin Region Homeless Executive taking on a new contract with the provider.

Kfm understands that efforts are already underway as the Department arranges alternative accommodation.

It's understood that the process of securing new housing options for these individuals is actively in motion.

Paul Murphy TD recently slammed rumours that a young girl was sexually assaulted at the hotel in Celbridge.

Despite the absence of any evidence, these claims led to protestors gathering outside the hotel, where International Protection applicants reside.

The crowd chanted slogans such as "paedophiles out" and "deport them now," and threats to burn down the building housing around 100 individuals, including women and children, were reported.

Murphy said the initial falsehood, claiming a seven-year-old girl had been raped by three non-Irish men, originated from online supporters of the Irish Freedom Party.

Gardaí in Kildare are investigating an alleged incident of physical abuse on a child by an adult known to them.

Meanwhile, Kfm recently reported  how an investigation has been initiated following altercations at the protest in Celbridge where members of An Garda Síochána were reportedly targeted.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024, during a planned public demonstration.

According to initial reports, unarmed, uniformed Gardaí were present at the protest, which was intended to be peaceful.

However, tensions escalated as demonstrators allegedly directed verbal abuse and launched fireworks and other projectiles toward the officers on duty.

No injuries were sustained by Garda members.
