The decision was confirmed at the county board meeting last night
Johnstownbridge clubman Brian Flanagan was officially ratified to become the next Kildare Senior Football manager at a meeting of the county board last night.
Flanagan will have with him Aidan O'Rourke, the former Armagh All-Ireland winner who served a year with Kieran McGeeney during his seven years with Kildare.
O'Rourke has won five Ulster titles, one All-Ireland, one NFL and one All Star, with Armagh.
Joining Flanagan and O'Rourke will be former Kildare players Castledermot's Damian Hendy and Moorefield's Daryl Flynn as selectors.
