Caragh Bridge Has Reopened To Traffic Today

The bridge has been closed since 11th January.

The Caragh Bridge has reopened for traffic today.
 
A road sweeping vehicle struck the Liffey bridge in Caragh just before 8pm on 11th January and the bridge has been closed since.
 
The driver involved escaped without injury. 
 
A three metre section of the wall was knocked into the river below the bridge
 
The narrow bridge is the oldest bridge over the River Liffey.
 
Fianna Fail Councillor Rob Power spoke about the bridge reopening with Eoin Beatty on Monday's Kildare Focus:
