Cllr Bill Clear Appointed New Mayor Of Naas

The election took place at their annual meeting on Tuesday 11 July, held in Punchestown Racecourse

Social Democrats Cllr Bill Clear has been elected as the Mayor of Naas Municipal District for the coming year, with Independent Cllr Seamie Moore to serve as Deputy Mayor.

The election took place at their annual meeting on Tuesday 11 July, held in Punchestown Racecourse as the council chamber in Áras Chill Dara is undergoing refurbishment.

Cllr Clear takes over from Fine Gael Cllr Evie Sammon, who said her year as Mayor of Naas MD has been an “incredible” one, “filled with challenges, triumphs, and countless memories that will forever be etched in my heart.
