Coillte Close Off Vehicular Access To North West Kildare Woodland.

Locals say they were not consulted.

Coillte has closed vehicular access to the beginning of a much loved walk in Killoyn Wood to the public.

The woodland is in the Johnstownbridge/Enfield area.

Pedestrian access has been maintained, but locals say the decision was taken without consultation.

Kfm Radio has sought a statement of Coillte.

Fine Gael Clane Maynooth Cllr, Brendan Wyse, has been speaking to Kildare Today.

He says there's no parking in the area

Cllr. Wyse joined Eoin Beatty on Monday's edition of the programme
