Traffic management will be in place
Works include the installation of services, construction of segregated cycle tracks, footpaths and surfacing works along the existing carriageway, including significant urban regeneration at Swans Cross (R448 / R411 junction).
A one-way system for Phase 1 of the works will come into effect from 8am Monday 13th February 2023 and shall be in place until Monday 21st August 2023.
The traffic management plan for Phase 1 is summarised below:
• Inbound traffic from Kilcullen Road Roundabout along the R448 will remain during this phase of works.
• Outbound traffic from Naas to the Kilcullen Road Roundabout will follow the diversion route along the R411 Ballymore Road.
• Two-way local access will be facilitated to Rathasker Heights during the initial phase of the works (Phase 1- Stage 1A).
• Pedestrian movement shall be curtailed to one available footpath through the works area for the works duration however safe and appropriate access shall be maintained at all times.
