Decision To Charge Or Release Woman (40s) Over Westmeath Car Fire Expected Today

5 year-old Thelma & 2 year-old Mikey Dennany died in the fire

A decision to charge or release a suspect over the deaths of two children in a car fire in Co. Westmeath, is expected to be made later today.

Five-year-old Thelma Dennany and her brother, Mikey, lost their lives in the blaze in Multyfarnham on the 9th September 9th.

Their mother, Lynn Egar, originally from Brannockstown in Co. Kildare, was seriously injured in the fire.

Yesterday, Gardaí arrested a woman in her 40s.

She is currently being detained at a garda station in the midlands.
