Driver Escapes With Minor Injuries After Tree Falls On Car In Celbridge

A tree down in Celbridge early this morning.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but no serious injuries were reported.

A motorist had a fortunate escape this morning after a tree fell on their car in Celbridge during the Status Red storm warning.

Emergency services, already grappling with "extremely difficult conditions," responded to the incident around 6 a.m. on the R403 (Clane Road) near Celbridge.

Gardaí and first responders arrived at the scene, where they found the tree had fallen directly onto the vehicle.

The driver was taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure, but no serious injuries were reported.

Authorities have reiterated calls for the public to drive with extreme caution.

Emergency crews working are working to clear debris across the county.

This car in Kill also fell victim to a fallen tree.
