Naas Roads Policing Unit detected the motorist during a Mandatory Intoxicant Testing (MIT) checkpoint.
The test returned indications for cocaine and opiates.
The driver has been arrested and a court appearance is to follow.

A learner driver in Kildare has been arrested, in the separate operation.
Naas Roads Policing Unit detected the motorist at 177kph on the M4, where the limit is 120kph.
The driver had no l-plates and was no accompanied by a qualified driver.
Learner drivers are prohibited from driving on motorways.
The driver has been arrested and charged.

The unaccompanied learner driver was detected at a speed of 145 km/h in a 100 zone..
