Kildare gardaí made the post on social media, saying "we don't make this up"
A driving instructor was caught with a mobile phone in their hand, and was unable to produce a driving licence when stopped by the Naas Roads Policing Unit.
The driver was the sole occupant of the dual controlled training vehiclel; a Hyundai i20.
A fixed charge penalty notice of €120 was issued, along with three penalty points.
In a post on Facebook, Kildare gardaí opened the post with "we don't make this up."
The post stated that "road safety rules apply to everyone, especially those responsible for teaching others how to drive safely".
