€8.3 Million In Grant Funding Announced For Kildare Sports Clubs

The announcement has been made by Government this morning

The Government has this morning announced the allocation of €8,311,590 in grant funding to support local and community grassroots sports clubs across Kildare.

The clubs and organisations receiving funding are as follows:

Ardclough GAA - to develop a new grass training pitch - €132,885

Athy Golf Club - energy conservation - €72,860

Athy Lawn Tennis Club - energy and fencing improvements - €41,069

Athy RFC - flood lights for training pitches - €178,564 

Ballykelly GFC - equal facilities project - €66,699

Ballymore Eustace GAA - facility development - €149,001

Barnhall RFC - facilities and membership development plan - €137,037

Caragh GFC - to upgrade the existing clubhouse and changing rooms - €157,801

Caragh Celtic - facilities improvement - €41,608

Castledermot GAA - upgrade the existing pitch with levelling and drainage - €186,818

Castlewarden Golf Club - repair the roof and purchase a new mower to enhance facilities - €144,404

Celbridge Athletics Club - to upgrade changing facilities and toilets - €27,342 

Celbridge GAA - sustainability and inclusivity plan - €95,391

Cill Dara Golf Club - continued course improvements and machinery - €42,731

Cill Dara RFC - sustainability and inclusivity project - €170,259

Clane Lawn Tennis Club - to upgrade the tennis courts - €30,508

Clane RFC - to purchase sports equipment and develop the club pitch - €25,913

Clogherinkoe and Broadford GAA - drainage and levelling of pitches - €138,283
