Father Stabbed To Death In Sallins Park Named Locally As Ion Daghi

The victim, identified locally as Ion Daghi (39), was found with severe injuries.

Gardaí believe a father of young children was stabbed to death by a man known to him following a row.

The victim, named locally as Ion Daghi (39), was discovered with serious injuries after emergency services were alerted to a house in Sallins Park in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The victim, identified locally as Ion Daghi (39), was found with severe injuries following a disturbance at a residence during the early hours of yesterday morning.

Mr. Daghi, a Moldovan national, was pronounced deceased at the scene

It is believed that Mr. Daghi had been residing in the area for an extended period.

A 23-year-old man, who was known to the victim, was arrested at the scene and last night remained in garda custody.
