The incident occurred last Saturday evening
Gardai are appealing for information, following the theft of a car in the Moneen Drive estate in Athy last Saturday evening.
The owner of a red Audi A4 with the registration 09-D-127668 was trying to sell their car and had it advertised on Facebook.
They subsequently received a message from a person reportedly interested in purchasing the car and a viewing was arranged.
When the person arrived for a viewing, they took the car for a test drive and never returned with it.
The incident occurred at around 6pm last Saturday evening and anyone with any information is asked to contact Athy Garda Station.
Local Gardai have also urged people to be careful when meeting individuals to sell or purchase items.
