It happened yesterday evening on the canal.
Kildare Gardai are appealing for witness to the assault of two men by a gang.
2 men were driving a white Nissan van along the canal at 5.15pm yesterday evening, in the Osberstown area.
A Renault van was following them, and beeping at them, motioning at them to pull over.
They did so, and the Renault pulled up in front of the Nissan.
3 men got out, and were joined by another 3 men who arrived on the scene in a car.
The 6 then beat the two men from the Nissan with steel bars.
Garda Deirdre Fanning, speaking to Kildare Today, had this appeal.
