Gardai have told Kfm that as the investigation involves provisions under the Child Care Act 1991, as amended, they will not be providing any further information.

Gardaí in Kildare are investigating an alleged incident of physical abuse on a child by an adult known to them.

In a statement this afternoon, An Garda Síochána says it's liasing with Tusla.
