The closure of toilets at Newbridge pre-dates the pandemic.

Irish Rail is being asked to explain why toilets at Newbridge and Portarlington train stations are closed.

The closure of facilities at the Kildare station pre-date the pandemic.

Toilets at stations including Westport, however, are open to the public.

Sarah Faney travelled from the west, via Portarlington,yesterday.

She's been speaking to Kildare Today, and says people at the Laois station had to use bushes.

A statement has been sought of Irish Rail
