The project is on public display until November 19th
A public consultation has opened on on plans for cycle and pedestrian user improvements on the Kilcullen Road, in Naas.
The project will stretch from Ballymore Road/Kilcullen Road junction to Fairgreen Street/Newbridge Road junction at Murtagh’s Corner, and will include:
- Installation of protected segregated cycle tracks on both sides of the carriageway from Ballymore Road/Kilcullen Road junction to Fairgreen Street/Newbridge Road junction (Murtagh’s Corner).
- Installation of a continuously raised footpath and cycle track across Corban’s Lane and St. Michael’s Terrace for additional safety to vulnerable road users.
- Removal of nine (9) on street parking spaces to accommodate protected segregated cycle and pedestrian infrastructure from Ballymore Road/Kilcullen Road junction to Fairgreen Street/Newbridge Road junction (Murtagh’s Corner).
- Installation of a raised junction table and pedestrian crossing point at Kilcullen Road/Corban’s Lane junction.

Drawings may also be viewed, by appointment, at Kildare County Council's headquarters, Áras Chill Dara, Naas
The closing date for submissions is December 3rd.
