The puppy - newly named Annabelle - is now receiving lots of love and attention with 'My Lovely Horse Rescue'.
The co-founder of a Kildare-based animal charity has made a passionate plea for people to 'get a grip' over animal cruelty.
It comes as Gardaí in the capital seized a 3-week-old puppy being traded for drugs in the city centre on Monday night.
The puppy - newly named Annabelle - is now receiving lots of love and attention with 'My Lovely Horse Rescue'.
But the charity's Martina Kenny says it's the latest in a terrible trail of neglect and abuse.
