Kildare Crime Wave: Six Burglaries Reported Across The County In Single Week, Some In Broad Daylight

Gardai are investigating the string of thefts around the county.

Gardaí in Kildare are investigating multiple incidents of burglary and vehicle theft that took place across various locations in the county between February 26 and March 3, 2025.

Speaking to Kfm, Garda Lenny Donlan said they are appealing for witnesses and any relevant CCTV or dashcam footage to aid their investigations.

Burglary in Millbridge Avenue, Naas

On Wednesday, February 26, between 7:10 PM and 10:40 PM, a burglary occurred at a residence in the Millbridge Avenue Estate, Naas.

The homeowners returned to find their front door forced open, their house ransacked, and a quantity of cash stolen. 

The suspects exited through the rear door and side gate.

Gardaí are urging anyone who was in the area during the timeframe and may have seen suspicious activity or vehicles to contact Naas Garda Station at 045 884300.

Car Theft In Sallins

On Thursday, February 27, at 7:06 AM, an opportunistic vehicle theft took place in Millbank Estate, Sallins.

The owner of an orange Volkswagen Polo (Reg: 151KE7007) had left the car running to defrost the windscreen while attending to their child.

Upon returning, the car was gone.

Gardai are seeking any witnesses or individuals with CCTV/dashcam footage from the area to assist in locating the vehicle.

Burglary in Osberstown, Naas

A break-in occurred in Osberstown, Naas, on Friday, February 28, between 1:30 PM and 2:00 PM.

Entry was gained through a smashed rear bedroom window, and a significant amount of jewellery, including gold necklaces, white gold bracelets, and gold earrings, was stolen.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything suspicious is urged to contact Naas Garda Station at 045 884300.

Burglary in Hermitage Park, Kilcullen

On the same day, between 12:27 PM and 12:50 PM, another burglary took place in Hermitage Park Estate, Kilcullen.

The homeowner returned to find their house ransacked, with a rear window forced open to gain entry.

A quantity of cash was stolen.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant CCTV footage to contact Kilcullen Garda Station at 045 481212 or Naas Garda Station at 045 884300.

Burglary in Oldcourt, Athy

Also on February 28, between 11:45 AM and 12:04 PM, a burglary was reported in Oldcourt, Athy.

Entry was gained by smashing a front window, and the house was ransacked before the intruders exited through the same window.

Gardaí are seeking information from anyone who may have seen suspicious activity in the area. Please contact Athy Garda Station at 059 8634210.

Burglary in Castle Martin Lodge, Kilcullen

On Tuesday, March 3, at approximately 3:15 PM, a resident reported seeing three masked individuals fleeing a neighbour’s house in Castle Martin Lodge, Kilcullen.

The suspects, believed to be around 15-16 years old and between 5’6” and 5’8” in height, escaped in a silver/blue Ford Mondeo with a partial registration of 05 D.

Anyone who saw these individuals or the vehicle in the area is urged to contact Kilcullen Gardaí at 045 481212 or Naas Garda Station at 045 884300.
