Automated call alleges the person has committed an offence.
Kildare Gardai are renewing their appeal to people to be wary of scam calls.
Gardai at Naas say they have been "inundated with phone calls from members of the public ringing in reporting fraudulent/scam phone calls."
The numbers usually begin with 083.
@gardatraffic @HSELive will not cold call you looking for personal information such as PPS numbers or bank account details.

Gardai say "There is an automated voice recording informing the person that they have committed an offence and if the person presses 1 they are put through to a person who tries to entice information from them."
Naas Gardai are asking people to be vigilant of these phone calls and to not give out any information over the phone to these scammers.
