Additional posts have been approved for the resources of birth, death and marriage certificates in County Kildare.
Social Democrats TD Catherine Murphy asked the Health Minister if he would provide a walk in service in the county to deal with the demand for certification.
The HSE has acknowledged the high volume of calls in the Kildare office.
It has confirmed that additional post have been approved for the county and are being progressed at this time.
An online appointments system has also been developed by the service and is currently in the testing phase
It said the Kildare office is not currently considering a walk-in service for the registration of life events.
