Ummeras Wind Farm Limited wants to erect 5 turbines.
Stakeholders say "locals are asking a lot of questions" following An Bord Pleanala's confirmation that it will not issue a decision on a wind farm in south Kildare until October.
A decision had been due to issue on Tuesday, August 17th.
In March, Kildare County Council refused permission to Ummeras Wind Farm Limited for 5 wind turbines,
in the townlands of Ummeras Beg , Coolatogher Mullaghroe Lower , Ummeras More and Coolsickin/Quinsborough.
The company appealed that refusal to ABP.
The national planning authority has confirmed to stakeholders that its decision will issue before October 12th.
A wind mast, to asses direction and strength, was erected on the site in recent weeks.
Mary Fanning McCormack is a journalist living in the area.
Speaking to Kildare Today, she says ABP couldn't arrive at a decision in the statutory time frame.
Mary Fanning McCormack joined Eoin Beatty on Thursday's edition of the programme.
