The victim died in hospital yesterday.
A 53-year-old barrister has appeared in court charged with the murder of a father-of-four in Dublin earlier this week.
Diarmuid Phelan, of Kiltalown Lane in Tallaght, is accused of the murder of Keith Conlon earlier this week.
The victim had been shot while walking with friends and his dog on Hazelgrove farm in a rural area of Tallaght near the Blessington Road in South Dublin.
Keith Conlon had been critically ill in hospital, and passed away last night.
Diarmuid Phelan, a Senior Counsel, appeared before Tallaght District Court this morning charged with Mr Conlon's murder.
Detective Garda Michael McGrath told the court Mr Phelan made no reply under caution.
Dressed in a black suit and white shirt, Mr Phelan did not address the court during his hearing.
Judge Patricia McNamara remanded Mr Phelan in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court via videolink on Friday, March 4th.
