No "Significant" Incidents In Kildare As Halloween Night Sees 1,195 Calls Across Leinster

Firefighters had their largest number of Halloween calls since 2021 last night.

Firefighters had their largest number of Halloween calls since 2021 last night.

Over 1,195 calls were made in Leinster on Halloween night, approximately 40.9 calls per hour until midnight.

Chanel Ryan, Fire Safety Officer at Kildare Fire Service, said 15 callouts were made across Kildare, but there were no major reports of anti-social behaviour.

Across Leinster, a steady number of calls were made from midnight onwards.

Some of the callouts included a derelict house on fire in Tallaght, a fire at a building site in Kilternan and a playground alight in Jobstown.

In Kildare, there were no reports of "significant incidents or arrests overnight" according to a Garda spokesperson.

They said last night was "consistent with previous Halloween nights in terms of policing".
