Ramming Of Gates At Government Building Does Not Seem Like A Co-ordinated Attack, Says Kildare South TD

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being held at a Garda station in Dublin.

Repair work has started on a number of gates at Government Buildings following a ramming incident overnight.

A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being held at a Garda station in Dublin.

Damage was caused to gates at the Department of the Taoiseach, the Office of the Attorney General, the Department of Housing, and Áras an Uachtaráin in the early hours of the morning.

Cathal Berry, independent TD and former Army Ranger, says it's not understood to be a coordinated attack.
