The application is for a site in Dunnstown.
The refusal of planning permission for a battery field in Kildare has been appealed to An Bord Pleanala.
Kildare County Council declined leave for the development, in Dunnstown, to Strategic Power Projects Limited, earlier this month.
The firm had sought 10 year planning permission for an enclosed battery energy storage system compound.
The application included 76 battery storage units, each with associated containerized step-up transformer.
The firm also wanted to install CCTV on the site, and create a new access point via the L6044.
An Bord Pleanala is due to issue a decision on the appeal on November 16th.
