Kfm has seen one such infotainment system that is connected to a an individual's phone, allowing them to open apps like TikTok and other major video streaming services.

Once connected, it seamlessly streams videos in a matter of seconds.

One product being sold on Amazon tells drivers that they can turn their car into a "romantic theatre".

One person who purchased the device online described it as a "great addition to their car".

Other popular, low-budget sites openly sell the items to Irish consumers, promising fast shipping.

Kfm has contacted Amazon for comment.

The availability of the devices come as Gardaí say the message about the dangers of being on your phone while driving is not getting through.

A Garda spokesperson told Kfm that there is no specific law around 'distracted driving'.

Drivers, however, can be prosecuted under Section 51A (Driving without Reasonable Consideration), Section 52 (Careless Driving) or Section 53 (Dangerous Driving) of the Road Traffic Act, 1961.

A national day of action last week saw 266 motorists caught on their phones while behind the wheel.

Already this year 762 drivers have been given 120 euro fines and 3 penalty points on their licence for driving offences.
