Regulations introduced in 2019 require all owners of short term lets to register their properties.
8 properties in Kildare have been identified as being "potentially in breach of short term letting regulations".
In July, 2019, regulations were introduced requiring anyone letting out rooms in their home on a short term basis to register with their local authority.
The regulations applied in Rent Pressure Zones, of which the entire county of Kildare is one, and in instances where an entire property was let, subject to a maximum of 90 days per annum.
12 such properties have been registered in Kildare.
The Minister for Housing says KCC has identified 8 homes which are potentially in breach of the regulations.
However, none of these cases have been resolved.
