Additionally, the proposal entails phasing out the existing 126 Go Ahead service.
A proposed solution has been introduced by the National Transport Authority (NTA) to improve bus services in Suncroft.
The plan includes extending the existing local link route 821 to cover the Suncroft area, potentially offering increased connectivity for residents.
The extended service is anticipated to operate a minimum of six services per day in each direction, Monday through Sunday, with connections to Newbridge train station.
Additionally, the proposal entails phasing out the existing 126 Go Ahead service, which has been deemed inadequate by local residents.
The implementation date remains uncertain pending further discussions with the Kildare-South Dublin Local Link office.
The NTA has highlighted competing priorities for rural bus services across Ireland as a factor affecting the timeline for finalising the proposal.
