Sword From Braveheart, Partly Filmed In The Curragh, Set To Be Auctioned For €11k

The Oscar winning film was shot in The Curragh and Wicklow in 1994 and featured around 1,600 members of the Army reserve who worked as extras.

A sword used by Mel Gibson in Braveheart is expected to sell at auction for up to 11-thousand euro.

The prop Claymore sword will be sold in LA next week.

Last year, the original version of the sword, which featured in the film and promotional shots for the movie was sold for 55-thousand euro.
