The hospital is experiencing a high number of attendances

Tallaght Hospital in Dublin says it's experiencing a high number of attendances and a shortage of beds.

People are asked to consider other care options before attending the emergency department.

Patients who attend the hospital will be treated according to medical priority, and the hospital is warning that people with less urgent complaints will experience long wait times.

According to today's INMO trolley watch figures, 47 patients are on trolleys in Tallaght University Hospital today.
