A serial fraudster has accused a Celbridge family of owing her over €7,000 in unpaid wages.
According to the Irish Independent, Samantha Cookes has been convicted in Ireland and Britain for fraud.
She was outed on a podcast show called “Carrie- Jade does not exist” on VICE with journalist Kat Denkinson and comedian Sue Perkins.
It's understood that Ms Cookes had multiple personas from "Lucy Fitzwilliam", the speech therapist to "Rebecca Fitzgerald", the autism expert, and her most recent - "Sadie Harris" the au pair.
A Celbridge couple hired Sadie Harris as a live-in au pair.
She moved into their home in September 2023, attending church services, and befriending other mothers.
A parent at child's school recognised who "Sadie" was. It was reported to both the principal and the parents.
The couple confronted "Sadie" and she allegedly claimed that Samantha Cookes was her sister.
In her room, 3 laptops, 18 self-defence keys, notes, journals and books were found and handed into gardai.
Recently the couple received a letter from Ms Cookes, claiming they owed her €7, 138.70 in unpaid wages.
The phone number she used is still in operation and several complaints have been made about her in Kerry, which gardai are investigating.
The parents wish to speak out about their experience and name her to prevent it happening to another family.
