200 more people from the county have joined the queue over the last month.
The number of Kildare online passport applications yet to be processed has increased.
Data released by the Dept. of Foreign Affairs in mid-April showed 2,200 applications from the county in the system, yet to be processed.
By the end of the month, that had increased to 2,400.
Nationally, there are just under 90,000 applications in the online system.
The Passport Office says the backlog should be cleared in 8 weeks.
The approximate number of online applications per county under process currently in the system is set out in the table below.
