Spending increased in Offaly and Wicklow

Valentines day spending decreased by 19% for people in Kildare this year.

It seems Cavan is Ireland's most romantic county.

New analysis of spending for Valentines Day last week shows that people in Cavan spent 126% more on romantic items than they did last year.

The 'Spending Pulse' report from Bank of Ireland found lovebirds across the country spent more money on spa breaks, jewellery, chocolates and flowers than they did in 2021.

Valentines day spending also increased for people in Offaly, Wicklow and Roscommon, however it fell by 35% in Waterford, and 28% in Leitrim.
