Newbridge's walk-in Covid 19 test centre is running again, today.
3 of the town's schools have reported cases of the virus.
The Newbridge Local Electoral Area reported the highest Covid 19 14 day incidence rate in the county in to two weeks to April 26th.
At 391.7 cases per 100,000 people, it was 250 points above the state's rate of 122.5.

The Health Service Executive says, the centre will operate from Newbridge Town Hall, until Sunday.

The HSE says people should use the free walk-in COVID-19 testing service if they:
are aged 16 years and over
do not have symptoms of Covid-19 but would like to be tested
have not tested positive for Covid-19 in the last six months
Remember, it’s 1 test per person.
You must bring photo identification with you and provide us with a mobile telephone number so we can contact you with your results.
Social distancing measures will apply as people attend for testing. If the waiting times are too long for you, you are welcome to return at another time or day.
