Woman Struck And Robbed After Declining Help From Man While Checking Her Car Engine

While she was inspecting the vehicle, a man approached her, offering assistance.

A woman was assaulted and robbed while attending to her vehicle on the Old Dublin Road in the Curragh early last Thursday morning.

The incident occurred at around 7:15 a.m. when the woman encountered trouble with her car and stopped to check the engine.

She declined the offer, but moments later, she was struck in the back, causing her to fall.

In the aftermath of the attack, the woman discovered that both her phone and handbag had been stolen from her car.

The suspect is described as having an Eastern European accent.

Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have been in the vicinity of the Old Dublin Road, Curragh, on Thursday morning to come forward with information.

Witnesses or individuals with any relevant details are urged to contact Kildare Garda Station.
