Woman Struck, Twice, With A Bicyle During An Aggravated Burglary In Newbridge.

It happened on Monday afternoon.

A woman was struck, twice, with a bicycle during the course of an aggravated burglary in Newbridge.

Gardai say it happened in Rosconnell, at 2.02pm on Monday.

Two men forced their way in to the home.

One went to the first floor, and the second stood at the foot of the stairs, brandishing a knife.

The householders confronted the men and a struggle ensued.

One of the men picked up a bike just outside the home, and struck a woman twice.

One of the men fled on foot, the other on a scooter.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Gardai at Newbridge on 045 431 212.
