Yellow Level Storm Warning Issued For County Kildare

Two storms are approaching the Atlantic.

Met Eireann has issued storm advisory warnings for Kildare as two storms approach from the Atlantic. 
 
Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice are anticipated to bring strong winds and heavy rain and the possibility of localised flooding between Wednesday 16th and Friday 18th.
 
Officials from Kildare County Council’s Severe Weather Assessment Team (SWAT) met with the National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management’s Crisis Management Team, Met Éireann, Office of Public Works, ESB and other and government departments and agencies this morning to discuss the implications of the coming storms. 
 
Storm Eunice is expected to impact County Kildare late on Thursday night and during Friday’s morning commute.  
 
A crisis management team met today to discuss preparations for storms Dudley and Eunice.

The National Directorate for Fire and Emergency Management spoke with Met Éireann, the OPW, local authorities and key departments

The NDFEM Crisis Management Team will continue to work with Met Éireann to monitor the evolving weather situation

It intends to conduct further meetings of the group over the coming days.
