Marc MacSharry feels the "micromanaging" by the group isn’t needed.

Two Fianna Fail TDs are calling for the National Public Health Emergency Team to take more of a backseat.

NPHET has been to the forefront of advising and making many crucial decisions during the Covid 19 pandemic.

But Dublin North West TD Paul McAuliffe believes NPHET should lose some of its powers.

While Sligo-Leitrim Deputy Marc MacSharry feels the micromanaging from the group isn’t needed.


But Professor Gerry Killeen from UCC says it’s too soon.
