The PUP has been closed to new claimants since July 8th.
The number of people on the Pandemic Unemployment Payment dropped by roughly 3 percent this week.
153,000 received the Covid payment over the past seven days, compared to 157,000 the previous week.

"More than 45 million euro was paid out by the Department of Social Protection to PUP recipients this week.
153,000 received the payment, down roughly 4,000 on the previous seven days.
Dublin, Cork and Donegal had the highest number of people who closed their claims.
While Longford, Leitrim and Carlow had the least.
Almost half of those who stopped receiving the payment work in the accommodation and food services sector.
The PUP has been closed to new claimants since July 8th.
Changes in September will see the top three rates reduced by 50 euro per week while those receiving the 203 euro per week payment will be moved to either jobseekers benefit or jobseekers allowance."
