It happened at around 9pm last night.

"The incident took place in the townland of Coras Point, on the Cavan town Road.
A pedestrian, a man in his 60s was killed, while his body was taken to the mortuary at Cavan General Hospital for a post mortem to take place.
No other injuries were reported.
The scene is preserved for forensic examinations to take place, while the R198 remains closed this morning with diversions in place.
Anyone who was travelling on the road around 9pm last night are asked to contact Gardaí, particularly those with dashcam footage."
