Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the incident at approximately 1am this morning.
A man's body has been found at a house in Cork City.
The remains of the man in his 50s were discovered on Dominic Street at about 1 o'clock this morning.
His body remains at the scene, which has been sealed off.
Gardaí say they're investigating all of the circumstances surrounding his death, the Coroner has been notified, and arrangements are being made for a post mortem exam.
