Archbishop Of Armagh Says Climate Change Has Disproportionate Impact On Vulnerabal

Archbishop Eamon Martin was speaking to graduates of Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth

The Archbishop of Armagh says climate change is having a disproportionate impact on those who are on the margins of society.

Speaking in Kildare, to graduates of Saint Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Archbishop Eamon Martin says Global Warming is affecting those most vulnerable to famine, water insecurity, conflict and ‘predatory economic interests’.

Mr. Martin says there is so much that could be done to ensure that plans and developments represent best practice in terms of energy management, quality green spaces for living and active commitment to minimising our carbon footprint.

He adds that the three colleges of Maynooth could work together to become a model of sustainability and community well-being.
