Employees who are affected by domestic abuse are entitled to take these five days of paid leave every year in order to access supports.
Employers are also being urged to create a work environment in which staff feel comfortable to come forward.
Women's Aid has launched an online hub of information to support employers in implementing the new Statutory Domestic Violence Leave.
