Eight people have been arrested after a major drugs seizure in Dublin.
A number of raids were carried out as part of a planned operation targeting the Kinahan organised crime group.
At around 11 yesterday morning Gardai stopped two vehicles in Ballyfermot and Blanchardstown -along with this- a planned search was carried out at a premises on the Long Mile Road.
In total - 40 kilos of cocaine with a street value of 2.8 million euro was found during the operation.
2000 Canisters of Nitric Oxide and €78,000 in cash were also recovered.
a Hydraulic Drugs Press, a quantity of mixing agent, drug mixing equipment, a money counter and several phones and laptops were also seized
7 men and one woman, aged in their 20s to 50s were arrested in relation to drug trafficking, although two men have since been released without charge.
They're being held at various stations across Dublin.
