The woman was found on Tuesday evening with serious injuries.
Gardai are investigating after a woman died after being found with serious injuries at a house in Limerick.
The woman, in her 50s, was discovered in Cois Deel in Rathkeale at around 8:30pm on Tuesday.
She was taken to University Hospital Limerick where she died yesterday.
A post-mortem exam is taking place today, and gardai say the results will determine the course of the investigation.
Gardaí say they attended an incident in the Windmill Street area earlier on Tuesday evening, and their enquiries suggest the deceased may have been at a house on Windmill Street in the day or days prior to her discovery.
They're appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
