Staff from minority groups are much more likely to earn significantly less and be on precarious contracts.
More than a third of people from ethnic minority backgrounds working in the higher education sector say they've faced discrimination on campus.
A new study by the Higher Education Authority shows 35 percent report racial or ethnic bias.
The report also finds staff from minority groups are much more likely to earn significantly less and be on precarious contracts.
77 percent are earning less that 60,000 per year, compared to 45 percent of white Irish, while less than half are on full-time contacts, compared to almost three quarters of white staff.
