
St Vincent's Hospital Group insists it must retain ownership
The Health Minister says the Government still hopes to acquire the site for the new National Maternity Hospital for public ownership.
That's despite St Vincent's Hospital Group insisting it must retain ownership for the delivery of integrated care on the campus.

A number of opposition parties have called on the Government to consider a compulsory purchase order for the land.
Social Democrats TD Jennifer Whitmore has said the full clinical independence of the hospital needs to be guaranteed:
The Taoiseach has said he won't rule out issuing a Compulsory Purchase Order for the site of the new National Maternity Hospital.
Micheál Martin has faced calls to force a purchase of the entire site of St Vincent's Hospital including the existing hospital grounds.
