A man's been injured following a serious assault in County Waterford
It happened shortly after 11am this morning when Gardai and emergency services were alerted to an incident in the Summerhill area of Tramore.
A man in his mid 20s was brought to University Hospital Waterford for treatment and is understood to be in a stable condition.
Gardai have arrested a man in his fifties and he is being questioned at Tramore Garda Station.
The scene has been preserved for forensic examination and there is an appeal for witnesses.
